BEYOND THE SCALPEL occupies a unique and essential position in our field — at the intersection between surgical excellence and comprehensive patient care. It is the missing link between the operating room and the full patient journey, bridging plastic surgeons with aftercare specialists, physiotherapists, and experts in anethesia, recovery, rehabilitation, and practice development.

Since 2012, The international Controversy Art and Technique in Breast and Body contouring Aesthetic Surgery (CATBBAS) meeting has become the Belgian ano European icon in aesthetic surgery with the cutting edge live-surgery and HD-3D-streaming.


The founder Prof. Dr. Moustapha Hamdi built up a project to emerge clinical experience of plastic surgeons from around the world with his academic practice in Brussels University Hospital. It is unique venture between the state of the arts in aesthetic surgery with the highest technology of live surgery streaming and media, data, challenges, and debates organizations. Every year, a largest faculty of selected plastic surgeons meet in Brussels to demonstrate the last developments in the field of breast and body contouring aesthetic surgery.
